According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 5.6 square miles (15 km2), of which, 5.5 square miles (14 km2) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.10 km2) of it (0.72%) is water.
Because of its location on Lake D'Arbonne, Farmerville offers many recreational opportunities to visitors. One of our greatest assets is Lake D'Arbonne State Park. The park is one of the finest in the State of Louisiana and offers a wide variety of fun for everyone in the family. Furnished cabins are available for rent, as well as, group accommodations that hold up to 52 people. The park also has a beautiful lake-front campground suitable for both RVs and tents. Tennis courts, playgrounds, swimming pools, rental boats, and fishing piers are all available for entertainment.

The Town of Farmerville recently teamed up with the Northeast Louisiana Economic Alliance to provide the local region with powerful tools that will enable the best presentation of assets suitable for economic development.
